The Role We couple a cutting-edge learning experience platform, with continuously evolving relevant course products to enable remote continuous professional development and certification for educators in over 44,000 schools. We are looking for a Research and Content Creator to join the National Education Group team. What You’ll Do Writing content for The School Bus and The National College that is accurate, well written and relevant, based on the knowledge and expertise of the company and its contributors. Reviewing the content to ensure it is coherent, consistent, compelling and professional – always meeting members’ needs. Researching press and other media to identify relevant material to be incorporated onto the website. Being aware of any current and upcoming policy documents and summarising them accurately. Creating documents as suggested by members, where accepted . Answering members’ questions in full, where a question is accepted, using a variety of verified sources and experts. Playing an active role in the quality assurance process. Ensuring the quality of the content remains consistently high. Providing support to members with content-related queries. Obtaining feedback from members and analysing this information to enable continual improvement of content and product. Suggesting ways of maximising engagement with content. Liaising with the Development Team to ensure any issues on the site are raised and logged. Seeking and taking development opportunities, e.g. CPD, in order to improve personal performance. Contributing to team meetings and playing an active role within the Research and Content Team. Playing an active role in content generation. Updating content flagged out-of-date. Sharing sector knowledge with the Research and Content Team. Utilising knowledge gained to enhance the service. Assisting in implementing changes within the Research and Content Team and ensuring new processes are understood and followed. Actively promoting and adhering to editorial processes, setting a high standard and being a good example to others. Continually developing sector knowledge and keeping up to date with sector updates. Contributing to Research and Content Team meetings and wider company meetings, and being an active and engaged member within the department. Actively promoting and adhering to the company’s policies and its strategic goals, setting a high standard and being a good example to others. Acting as a professional and positive ambassador for the company in order to support the company’s mission and profile. Learning about different school types and phases and adhering to style guides to ensure language and content is specific to these types and phases. Undertaking work to meet a content SLA for each membership. Undertaking the work allocated to ensure the execution of the content calendar. Contributing towards marketing content as required, Attending meetings as required in the Sheffield office. Requirements Your experience should include: Researching or editing experience Experience of liaising with third parties to obtain information/documentation Experience of editing copy, improving style and content You should have: Strong writing and editing skills Great attention to detail and concern for quality Excellent English language skills –including spelling, grammar, punctuation The ability to research effectively High level of consistency Effective decision making skills You should be: Qualified to A level or above (or equivalent) GCSE or equivalent English Personable and articulate Pleasant and clear telephone manner Able to work in a team and with minimal supervision Optimistic and open to new opportunities Able to work effectively in an open plan office Resilient and able to deal with conflict in a professional, objective and calm manner Customer focused Benefits Remote and hybrid working available but must be able to travel to the Sheffield office Opportunity to work at an established but rapidly growing company Competitive package and holiday allowance
