Job Introduction At Diabetes UK we strive to create ‘A World Where Diabetes Can Do No Harm’. We have an internal Online Community Team that deliver daily requests such as responding to members of our community, approving, and rejecting user accounts, and responding to personal enquiries in our forum inbox. This role would lead a volunteer team to deliver daily services online, including managing community volunteers to support people affected by diabetes on our online community and working closely with the Online Community Manager. The main focus of the role is to assist and continue the function of the peer-to-peer system by following target SLA’s and community guidelines. The Ideal Candidate You will have well developed and proven experience of working within online communities and demonstrate the ability to build professional relationships with volunteers such as hosts, moderators, and Diabetes UK staff. You will be adept at quickly building positive relationships with a wide range of colleagues across internal teams and our supporters online. It is essential that you can manage and motivate a remote team to deliver against a set of objects which are aligned to the overarching organisational goal. It is essential that you have an innate ability to work confidently and communicate complex information clearly both verbally and in writing, to a wide range of people online. It is essential that you make informed decisions outside normal working hours that minimise risk to the online community and Diabetes UK brand.
